Middle/Project coordinator (H/F/NB)

The role of the VFX production coordinator is to manage visual effects projects. Under the supervision of the VFX producer and in collaboration with the department heads, he or she supports the artists while ensuring that the film’s production runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage departmental workflows to meet internal and external deadlines
  • Receive and organize customer packages and provide the necessary elements for the work of the artists and supervisor (briefs, edits, elements, etc.)
  • Assign tasks and their duration to artists in collaboration with the VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor
  • Ensure that deadlines are met for each task – check and adjust schedules daily, and inform VFX producer of any overruns
  • Monitor the progress of production (to-do/ongoing/remaining to-do) and keep weekly and ad hoc reports for the VFX producer
  • Organize and participate in meetings concerning project progress and customer presentations, taking notes and following up on information
  • Daily update of the production database on a proprietary Asset Manager
  • Organize customer presentation playlists on syncsketch software
  • Organize and monitor validations
  • Organize deliveries to customers or other service providers
  • Maintain a good understanding and team dynamic
  • Perform any other ad hoc tasks that may reasonably be expected of them

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as production coordinator
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve a common goal
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in a constantly changing environment, with a proven ability to prioritize conflicting tasks
  • Basic understanding of visual effects workflow and pipeline in live action and CG, as well as willingness to learn Noid’s proprietary tools
  • Good knowledge of MS Office software, especially Word and Excel
  • Basic understanding of common file formats and associated resolutions
